BS OHSAS 18001 Occupational Management Systems

Certification to OHSAS 18001 clarifies your management of Health and Safety issues. It assesses risks which impact upon your business and details how these will be mitigated and controlled. This in turn should reduce accidents and reduce the risk of breaching your statutory duties. The occupational management system and procedures required by OHSAS 18001 should result in your organisation delivering best practice in occupational health and safety management.

The award of OHSAS 18001 safeguards your employees and all stakeholders in your business operation. By providing optimum working conditions, this standard clearly demonstrates your approach to workplace hazards.

On 12 March 2018 the ISO 45001 Standard was published which will supercede BS OHSAS 18001.  Businesses will have 3 an a half years (extended by 6 months due to the COVID 19 Pandemic) in which to migrate their 18001 Certification to the new standard. IsoComply will be working with our clients to ensure their new certification will be updated. Please find attached a link to a gap anayysis which should be completed prior to your ISO 45001 Migration ISO 45001 Migration Readiness Checklist
